Dear Kaymar (Jordan):

I write to make a few clarifications about a story carried on your wires, titled "PM Mitchell objects to union leader's presence in LIAT meeting."  Please allow me to make a few observations.

(1). The Prime Minister had arranged and agreed to meet LIAT C.E.O. Mr. Mark Darby.  The Prime Minister was not informed by LIAT that anyone else, including Mr. Chester Humphrey, would be present at the meeting.

(2). At no time did the Prime Minister get angry or show any signs of anger.

(3). At no time was there any standoff.  The PM welcomed Mr. Darby and started the meeting.  Mr. Humphrey never came into the meeting.

(4). Finally, please note that at no time on that day did the Prime Minister see or come into contact with Mr. Humphrey.

Barry Collymore
Advisor to the Prime Minster
