A top youth leader with the main opposition, National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anthony Prosper is dead.
The untimely passing of Prosper, a Tutor at the T.A Marryshow Community College (TAMCC) was made official on Tuesday by the Congress party in a brief statement.
"It is with regret that we inform you that Youth Activist, patriot and historian, ANTHONY PROSPER has died. He was found dead at his home this morning", the statement said."He was an outstanding youth organiser and worked tirelessly with the Democratic Youth Movement and will be missed by the entire membership of the National Democratic Congress but by the youth in particular", it added.
He was the official Co-ordinator of the Democratic Youth Movement (DYM), the youth arm of the Congress party
Prosper also represented the youth arm of the party on the National Executive body of NDC.
A party spokesman told GRENADA TODAY that foul play is not suspected at this early stage but that an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Prosper also ran the Centre for Continuing Studies, located at Deponthieu Street in St. George's which conducted afternoon classes for persons preparing for CXC examinations.
He is originally from St. Patrick's but lived at Golf Course in the South St. George constituency.
