Opposition Leader Tillman Thomas is heading to New York early next month for another major outing - the second in as many months.
Informed sources told GRENADA TODAY that Thomas will lead a four-member delegation of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to the United States on November 2 for engagements in New York and Washington, DC.
A source said that the delegation members will include Deputy Political Leader, George Prime, as well as Pastor Karl Hood who was recently given the nod to contest the St. George South-east seat and Ingrid Jackson, another endorsed candidate for the upcoming general election.
He said the first official engagement for the visiting group will be November 2 in Washington to meet with Grenadians at a public meeting in the U.S capitol city.
The NDC group would then move to New York for a grand fund-raising dinner and dance to be held on November 3 at Astoria Manor in Queens.
According to the official, the Thomas-led delegation has an engagement in Montreal, Canada on November 4 to address a public meeting for Grenadans living there.
He spoke of the likelihood of NDC forming support groups in both Washington and Montreal on the upcoming trip to North America.
On Sunday night, the Congress party launched a Support Group in London, England.
Last month, Thomas headed a five-member delegation on a trip to New York and Toronto in Canada to update locals living in the two major North American cities on developments in their homeland.
The NDC is widely regarded as the opposition party most likely to topple the Keith Mitchell-led New National Party (NNP) in the upcoming general elections on the island.
The party is privately confident of winning no less than thirteen seats in the poll which could be held within the next six months.
