Announcer in the 1960's, Eversley Olivacee, will be master of ceremonies at the upcoming Miss Grenada World Pageant to be held March 31 at the GBSS Auditorium in St. George's.
Olivacee who worked with NBC in New York for the past thirty years recently retired and is returning to Grenada next month specifically to serve as Master of Ceremonies for the grand affair."When I heard about the Miss Grenada World Pageant I thought this is wonderful for Grenada. Jennifer Hosten and I used to work together years ago at WIBS and she remains a dear friend", he said from his home in New Jersey.
"She asked me if I would do this and I was honoured. There is nothing that would please me more! I look forward to being back in Grenada for the Miss Grenada World Contest in March. It's going to be a great show", he added.
A total of Seventeen (17) ladies between the ages of 17 and 25 will be showcasing their talent, beauty and intelligence to the Grenadian public during the "Miss Grenada World pageant" next month. Cost of tickets is $125.00.

Bierzynski; Charina Jones; Crystal McLawrence; Donic McEwen; Leonie Patrick; Michelle Minors; Nasheba Paul; Nicolone Louison; Nisha D. Frank; Renee A Moses; Shanique Nekia Strachan; Sharnell M. Martin; Tonia A.N Collins; Vivian Charlott Burkhardt; and Yola-Jolema Noel.
The "Miss Grenada World pageant" is back after more than 30 years of being out of the world-class event.
Spearheading the initiative is Jennifer Hosten, who won the coveted crown herself in 1970.
She was granted the Miss Grenada World Franchise for 2007 by the Miss World Organisation.
The winner of "Miss Grenada World pageant" will represent the island at the Miss World Pageant to be held November in Poland.
