U.S oil investor, Jack Grynberg is keeping up the pressure on Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Mitchell who is under pressure in Grenada on bribery allegations with the now infamous Switzerland "Briefcase" issue.
Grynberg has approached the Justice Department in the United States to try and obtain a copy of a video-tape in which the Grenadian leader is allegedly caught on camera accepting a large substantial payment from convicted fraudster, Eric Resteiner.
The american intends to use the tape to convince a tribunal hearing an oil agreement dispute with Grenada that bribery is the norm with the Mitchell led New National Party (NNP) government in St. George's.
Grynberg has already secured a video-tape in which Resteiner's former Chief of Security, Timothy Bass gives testimony about how he alleged vide-taped the Grenadian leader collecting the funds from the conman at his luxury villa at St. Moritz, Switzerland in June 2000.
Prime Minister Mitchell has admitted being at the residence but said that he collected "approximately US$15, 000.00 to help cover the cost of his investment promotion delegation on trips to several European capitals as well as Kuwait.
According to a confidential document in the possession of GRENADA TODAY, Grynberg has now sought the assistance of the Justice Department in Washington under the Freedom of Information Act to obtain a copy of the much talked about Switzerland video-recording.
