EVERYBODY LOOKING FOR SOMETHING - CD NOW AVAILABLE

Speculation is rife that Grenada could have a new Consul-General in Canada within a matter of weeks Informed sources told GRENADA TODAY that the current holder of the post, Conrad Gibbs is getting ready to leave the job after two years at the helm.

Gibbs landed the job on the resignation of Michael Viehweg, a former student of the Presentation Brothers College (PBC). Like Viehweg, Gibbs is also an ex-PBC student.

External Affairs Minister Elvin Nimrod could not be reached for comment on the issue of Gibbs.

According to a well-placed source, it would be interesting to see the reason given by the Keith Mitchell-led New National Party (NNP) government in St.

George's if and when Gibbs eventually leaves his position.

"We are hearing a lot of different things right now but we don't know for sure if Gibbs has decided to leave on his own or is being pushed out of office", said one source.

It is not clear who is the front-runner to assume the post of Consul General to Canada.
