All is not well among the battery of State-paid media personnel working for Grenada Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Mitchell.
Informed sources told GRENADA TODAY that relations are extremely strained between Barbadian Barry Collymore who is the Press Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister and a certain section of the Government Information Service (GIS).
A source who asked not to be named said that GIS staffer, Allan Campbell was forced to despatch a letter to the Grenadian leader complaining about Collymore's behaviour towards him.
The source who asked not to be named said that Campbell became upset with a set of expletives allegedly used on him by an angry Collymore who got angry over the work performance of some staffers.
According to the source, Campbell who has been a political activist for the ruling New National Party (NNP) in the St. Andrew's area decided to bring the matter to the attention of the Prime Minister for settlement.
Collymore later wrote a letter to Campbell offering an apology for what had transpired between them.
The source could not say if the Grenadian leader had spoken to his Press Secretary about the incident and influenced him to pen the apology letter to Campbell.
GIS insiders have confided in this newspaper that those in charge of the department have been coming under increasing scrutiny by the Grenadian leader for their failure to highlight several government programmes and projects.
"The man (Dr. Mitchell) keeps asking us to produce more and more programmes.
Is like he can't be satisfied. It doesn't appear that you could do anything to satisfy this man", said an irate staffer to this newspaper.
The source said that the television section that is run by former radio personality, Sherma Wells is coming in for the brunt of criticisms from the Grenadian leader.
He added that very little more can be done given the capability and amount of equipment at their disposal.

Meanwhile, Senior Information Officer, Sylvester Quarless has received a warning letter from GIS Head, Selwyn Noel concerning his presence on the-job on a regular basis.
A source said that Noel complained in the letter that Quarless leaves the job on a regular basis for lengthy periods without anyone knowing his whereabouts.
The NNP hierarchy is known to be upset with Quarless in light of growing reports about his political association with the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Quarless is tipped to contest the St. Andrew South-West seat that is held by Social Services Minister, Yolande Bain-Horsford in the next general election.
The Mitchell government is said to be cautious in terms of moving against the GIS staffer in light of the amount of persons that the NNP itself had recruited from the civil service over the years to get into frontline politics in the country.
