The second Grenadian qualifier in the Digicel Rising Stars series - Kimoura Fraser, will be making her first appearance on Sunday (October 15).

The young Grenadian will be coming up against finalists from Barbados, St. Vincent, St. Lucia, Dominica, Antigua, Anguilla and St. Kitts/Nevis. "I'm going to do my best.

I've been practicing everyday and I'm confident that with the continued support of the Grenadian public and my friends and neighbors, I will accumulate enough votes to see me through to the finals", she said. Keith Simon who was the first qualifier to perform is now facing the voters around the region after his performance which was aired last Sunday evening throughout the eight participating islands.

In an interview on Monday, Simon who hails from the village of Calivigny, St. George's, thanked the Grenadian public for their support thus far but impressed on everyone the importance of their votes, particularly at this point (as he competes with strong contenders from the other seven islands) to see him through to the next stage.

Out of the eight performers on Sunday's show, four will go on to the next round of competition which will be on October 22. Persons who wish to vote for Keith can do so by dialing 7804 or texting to 7804 from their Digicel phones before midday Friday October 13.

Persons wanting to vote for Kimoura will have to wait for next Sunday's show, which will be on GBN at 8 PM. Every week voters will get a chance to win a trip for 2 to any of LIAT destinations or a Sony Ericsson J300 MP3 phone compliments Digicel and US$100 call credit compliments Q Point. Ultimately at stake in the Digicel Rising Stars Series is U.S. $10,000, a top of the line Sony Ericsson handset and a publishing contract for the grand finale winner. The second place winner will receive U.S. $5,000 while the third place will walk away with U.S. $3,000.

The Caribbean Airline - LIAT will provide air transport services to facilitate the staging of the Show across the participating islands.
