The search
for Grenada's number one model is over. Crystal Mc Lawrence
was awarded the Miss Pulse bMobile Grenada title and will now
go on to represent Grenada at the regional final in Jamaica
later this month.
Her prize
includes a two-year contract with Pulse Agency, and the new
Tempo Limited Edition Motorola L-6 handset which was presented
to her by VP Retail Services, Cable & Wireless Anselm Mathurin.
The finale
of the Pulse bMobile Caribbean Model Search was held last Saturday
at the Grenada Trade Centre. The fifteen young ladies keenly
competed for the coveted title as an appreciative audience cheered
them on.
The competition
was judged by Kingsley Cooper - Founder and Managing Director
of Pulse Model Agency, Nadine Willis, Pulse's fastest rising
supermodel and 8-time Vogue cover model, Valerie Smith, one
of Pulse's stylists and Kim Francis of Francis Designs, a former
Miss Grenada (1995).
Cooper congratulated all 15 participants saying that they were
all very impressive.
Prior to
the finale, a texting competition was held in order to allow
supporters to vote for the model of their choice. Krystal Roberts
was the people"s choice amassing a total of 252 votes.
She received
a fantastic Blue Topaz necklace compliments Colombian emeralds
International and assorted fragrances and accessories from Duty
Free Caribbean presented by Brenda Baptiste - Promotions Manager
- Duty Free Caribbean.

Douglas was delighted with the contest. "I am extremely
pleased with the quality of the show. The young ladies gave
their best and whilst there has to be an overall winner, I think
that each young lady has benefitted tremendously from this experience.

will represent Grenada well", he said.
