The PM in an effort to condemn George Worme and Grenada Today has once again demoralized the people of Grenada.

What should have been handled at a diplomatic level quietly; have now become an embarrassment for the people of Cuba and Grenada. The alleged incident had nothing to do with Cuba and any assistance that they are providing to Grenadians.

The allegation is against an individual; if the government of Grenada feels that by prosecuting the individual, it will hurt the national interest then obviously government could always hide under the disguise of diplomatic immunity.

Those provisions are options to save face with an understanding that the accused will be either prosecuted in his own country or given the appropriate help if needs be. The pm's statements are vulgar, insulting and insensitive to the dignity of Grenadians in general and to women in particular.

What message is he sending to the helpless, hopeless and the vulnerable?

Is the pm saying that just because a father is the bread winner in the home that children must remain silent when they are molested, raped, sodomized or abused?

Just last week the pm was bumping his gum about a recently organized sex crime unit in the police force. He said in parliament that there are no rapists on his side of the house - a statement that needs to be investigated.

Is he not concerned that there could very well be one at the general hospital?

This is a place that serves our wives, daughters, sisters and mothers and the most vulnerable in our society. How in heavens name could the pm condemn Grenada today for reporting a case of alleged sexual molestation and possible rape when the alleged victim made the same report to the police?

The woman went back to the hospital and confronted the very said man in the presence of nurses. Does this woman have a political agenda? Does this woman wants to mash up Grenada as that Bejan yard fowl was clowning on our TV?

I am not at all surprised by the pm's statements since he is insensitive to Grenadian woman and their feelings since their only use in front of him appears to be just use and abuse them.

Just ask sister grace Duncan. Does he have a Grenadian woman on his side or a Grenadian child? This is probably the reason for his insensitivity.

No real father in this world would make such a statement. He cannot invite himself into the feelings of our violated women. When young Robbie Ann Jeremiah was murdered by his friend and spiritual advisor, arch bishop Edmund Gilbert was detained by police for the crime.

After Gilbert was released by police before being officially charged, he told the archbishop to go back to work and clear his name. He had no sympathy then for the victim's family even though as minister of national security he knew that Gilbert was the prime suspect.

We also had the sapodilla home incident involving an allegation of physical and verbal abuse by someone in government. The ministry investigated the matter. Archdeacon clement Francis, the former Anglican priest told the world and I quote, "something happen but what happen is not enough to be called child abuse".

We also had the incident involving the NNP minister sending sexy email to an Imani young female trainer. The said minister was promoted to be an ambassador. When the pm got caught up in the "approximately us fifteen thousand dollars" issue in Switzerland for his expenses (so he say), he told the Grenadian people that like the Cubans he too has done a lot for them with his over twenty years of service to the country.

But when he was snubbed by the Taiwanese he broke off diplomatic relations with Taiwan not because he believes in the one china policy but because he personally felt insulted. He was not concerned about what it would mean to the country but it was about this little pm from a small country in the Caribbean getting respect.

How about a poor black woman from St. David's protecting her dignity? Remember your words, Mr. P.M, 'men dress up in jacket and tie molesting little girls'.

Would you want to have men dress up in medical outfits sexually assaulting our women just because we are getting assisting from a certain country? If that is so then please release all the Trinidadians in our jails because during Ivan when you went missing in action for a long time, the Trinis were feeding us.

How about America? They gave us forty-five million us. Would you allow the Americans to make advances to your constant traveling companion from St. Andrew's? What do the Venezuelans deserve for Petrocaribe? And what about our friends that are building the stadium?

Please sir, apologise quickly to our young people because your statements have deterred victims from coming forward at a time when rape, incest and abuse is on the rise in the country.

Is that the same government of Claris Charles and Ann David-Antoine that is so much against Pasa Pasa. NNP needs to stop the old talk about positive vibes? Where is the minister of works who was calling on the medical profession to take action against dr. Lambert in a case where there was no complainant before the police?

There are evil-doers in every country and in every profession. Let's praise Grenada Today for breaking the story and let's be thankful that Grenada today is not like the police officer in community affairs division who was part of a team that investigated the sapodilla home allegation and boldly said in a meeting that we cant report that because elections are in the air.

The truth must come to light one day. Write on Grenada today
