Within
in two month of being appointed to a strategic position in the
Caribbean Spa and Wellness Industry, Rosemarie Charles has been
the main feature of a three page article in the Spring edition
of the European Luxury Spa Travel Guide EMOTION SPA MAGAZINE.
The issue
was launched at Cosmoprof, the world's largest beauty business
trade show held in Bologna, Italy on April 7, 2006. The article,
published in French and English highlighted the Caribbean region
as potentially the future premier destination for International
Spa travelers.
In her
interview, Charles was quoted as saying: "The Caribbean
has always remained untouched and preserved within its concept
of Tourism as was emphasized during the November conference
(Caribbean Spa & Wellness association) and will enable us
to make this area a priority destination for Hotel, Resort and
Outdoor Spa Clients."
Through
the CSWA training committee, Charles is currently coordinating
a consultative meeting of Spa trainers from throughout the region
to be held at the Hilton Coral Resort in the Dominican Republic
in November, 2006 as a prelude to a series of spa training seminars
scheduled for 2007 in Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad, St. Lucia
and Grenada.
These efforts,
as directed by the Caribbean Spa and Wellness Association (CSWA)
are geared towards increasing awareness of the industry as well
as improving personnel competence in preparation to deal with
the challenges faced by the tourism products of the region.
