The second winner in the Grenada National Lottery Authority (GNLA) TV and Radio Bingo game is Moister Griffith of Marian, St George’s.
Griffith was presented with his cheque for $20,000 last week Friday at a ceremony held at the authority’s office on the Carenage.

He said he feels real good to have won the jackpot and plans to use the money to repair his house which was destroyed when Hurricane Ivan ravaged the island on September 7, 2004.

For Griffth, the money could not have come at a better time since he has not yet started repairs on his home. He said that he has already purchased his tickets for the next draw which is carded for Friday. Six other winners will receive constellation prizes in the amount of $350.00.

The recently introduced game is the brainchild of GNLA in collaboration with the Grenada Broadcasting Network (GBN) and the first draw took place on December 3, 2005. The game is played on GBN TV and radio every two weeks. The cost per ticket is $5.

Manager of the Lottery Authority, Cheri Stephen-Cromwell is appealing to two consolation prize winners from the previous draw who did not come forward to receive their monies to do so as soon as possible.

Chairman of the GNLA Board of Directors, Kenneth Noel and Ruel Edwards, Accountant at GBN presented the cheque to Griffith. The first winner of the Bingo game was also a Marian resident, Mary Gibson. She has already received her cheque for $20,000.
