"The
Prime Minister, the Hon. Dr. Keith Mitchell ...is not a genuine
person and one must be guarded when dealing with him".
There are
growing signs that former parliamentarian, Oliver Archibald is
continuing to distance himself from Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell
and members of the ruling New National Party (NNP) administration.Archibald
has launched a blistering attack on the Grenadian leader likening
him to a man that lacks a good heart.
Just over
a year ago, the children of Archibald wrote a lengthy letter to
this newspaper urging Grenadians not to make the mistake of giving
Prime Minister Mitchell another term in office due to the deceitful
manner in which he deals with people. In a hand delivered letter
sent Tuesday to GRENADA TODAY and delivered by an emissary, Archibald
is warning Grenadians to be careful in their dealings with the
Prime Minister.
"Two
hurricanes have passed, not one day has he (Dr. Mitchell) ever
called to find out how I am doing", said Archibald who is
a two-timer winner of the St. Andrew North-east seat for the NNP
in 1995 and 1999.
Following
is the full text of Archibald's letter:
Please permit
me a column in your paper to ask the following questions to the
Hon. Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell, and the Hon. Roland Bhola.
(1). I want
to ask Hon. Roland Bhola who was the man responsible for the under
(15) young men in St. Andrew's from 1995-2004?
(2). I want
to know who received the special award from the Union of Teachers
for the young men of St.Andrew's?
(3). Mr. Bhola,
since when you know about the Banana Plantation at River Antoine's
Estate?
(4). Mr. Bhola,
why have you forgotten the Bamboo Bridge Beautification repainting?
(5). Mr. Bhola,
can you remember that the Seventh Day Adventist Church at La Potrie
in St. Andrew's was used as a shelter during the two hurricanes?
And why don't you help them (in) their time of need?
(6). This
is for Hon. Bhola and Hon. Brenda Hood, what has become of the
Project that I gave you concerning the two (2) airplanes at Pearls
airport, have you all eaten it up?
(7). I want
to let the Prime Minister know, while he is trying to push Mr.
Bhola into all that I have done in St. Andrew's North East,
they are only spinning top in mud, they are at the end of the
rope, Grenadians are learning, and will not make the same mistake
again.
(8). The Prime
Minister, the Hon. Dr. Keith Mitchell, I say is not a genuine
person and one must be guarded when dealing with him. He do(es)
not love people he makes believe and tries to show good frontage,
but his heart, if could be seen, one will be frighten to look
at.
(9). Two hurricanes
have passed, not one day has he ever called to find out how I
am doing. You will learn more of (him) as I continue in my next
letter.
