As part of the strategy of the Grenada Board of Tourism (GBT) to maintain Grenada's visibility within the important German market, a group of travel professionals is at present visiting Grenada to look at the destination, and its readiness to accept leisure visitors at this time. The nine-member group contains representatives from the major travel agencies in Germany that have been recommending Grenada to their clients.

The one-week stay in Grenada, which started on April 3, has been structured to ensure that the participants are provided with firsthand information about the status of all aspects of Grenada's tourism product. The Germans were scheduled to visit the operating hotels, restaurants and opened attractions. A visit is also slated for Carriacou. Germany continues to be a very important source market for Grenada's vital tourism industry.
