The Miss Grenada contestant is the winner of the 2004 Miss Ecstacy International Pageant in Anguilla.

The local girl, Janelle Frederick came out on top at the 8th annual Miss Ecstacy International Pageant last Saturday night in the island noted for Tranquility wrapped in blue.

A total of 12 countries participated which includes: Trinidad & Tobago, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, British Virgin Islands, Haiti, St. Vincent, St. Croix, Anguilla,St. Kitts, Barbados and Grenada.

Local organizers Devon Francique and Lexan Medford-Fletcher were quite elated when the Master of Ceremony named the 22 year old beauty from the Spice Isle as the winner.

The local organisers also thanked the the Minister of Education and Labour, Claris Charles who aided with the participation of Miss Grenada for the International Pageant Janelle Frederick.

"Special thanks goes out to Miss Allison Christopher the opening number dress maker, and Miss Neisha Mc Intyre", the orgnaisers said in a release.

Miss Ecstacy International, Janelle Frederick was accompanied to the show by her chaperone Devon Francique, the Miss Universe head make up artist for the Caribbean, Kevin Kirk Thomas from Trinidad and Tobago, and two local supporters, Michael Lewis and Ernest Douglas.

The results from the 8th annual Pageant were:

*Miss Photogenic - Miss Haiti

*Miss Amity - Miss St. Croix
*Best Swim suit - Miss Anguilla

*Best Promotional Speech - Miss Anguilla

*Best Interview - Miss St. Vincent

*Best Evening Gown - Miss Haiti

*Best Talent - Miss Grenada
*Best Future Shock - Miss Grenada.

*Miss Ecstacy International 2004-2005 - Miss Grenada (Janelle Frederick) 715 points.

*1st Runner up - Miss Anguilla (Itasha Webster) 711 points
*2nd Runner up - Miss St. Croix (Shantel Shoy) 659 points

*3rd Runner up - Miss Haiti (Saradj Bertin) 651 points

*4th Runner up - Miss St. Vincent (Janelle Allen) total of 593.50 points
