A Taiwanese Folk Dance Troupe based in New Jersey will be in Grenada to perform as part of activities marking Grenada's 30th Anniversary of Independence as well as to promote cultural exchange between Grenada and the Republic of China (ROC) on Taiwan.

The Dance troupe is expected to arrive in Grenada on February 5 following which they will perform at the Grenada's International Evening at the Morne Rouge Playing Field from 8:30 p.m.

On Independence Day on February 7, the Troupe will participate in the Independence Celebration Parade at the National Stadium. On that same day, the Dance Troupe they will perform at an open air concert in Gouyave from 7:00 p.m.

Some of the dances they are expected to perform include: Festival Drum dance, Fan dance, Ribbon dance, Aboriginal dance, Hair dance, Taiwanese Folk dances as well as Fisherman & Calm.

The troupe consists of 16 members including adults and children, led by Art Director Wei Yu and Administrative Director David Randolph. The Troupe is well known in the United States having performed in numerous festivals there.
