Outspoken attorney-at-law, Anslem Cloduen is annoyed with the conduct of two senior police officers over an incident at the T.A. Marryshow Community College (TAMCC). Clouden slammed the officers who allegedly entered the compound of the college with guns to confront students as part of a probe.
The lawyer called in the press after he was informed by one of his clients, Leslie Thomas a 19 year old student of the college, who was involved in the incident.

The officers, attached to the Central Police station on the Carenage in St. George's, are accused of threatening students with weapons and violence if their instructions were not followed. The client, Leslie Thomas of Grand Anse Valley in St. George's told GRENADA TODAY that on arrival at school a few weeks ago, he was prevented from entering his classroom by two uniformed police officers.

He said that the officers also ordered him to lean against a wall in order to conduct a search on his body. Thomas identified one of the police officers as being a Sergeant and the other holding the rank of Corporal.

According to the student, the officers arrived in an unmarked vehicle and the Sergeant shouted out: "Nobody moves! Gentlemen, the safety is off as you can see". The police officer allegedly held the gun in his left hand". Thomas said that before the other police officer got into the act and said: "Everyone will be searched. I understand you all like to touch (bam-bam)".

The student stated that he was bewildered and decided to ask the officers what he did wrong when the Sgt shouted back: "Shut up"! The students refused to kept quiet and the senior officer retorted: "I'll box you with it (the gun)"!

Five students were reportedly ordered by the lawmen to lean up against a wall one after the other and then searched. Thomas claimed that he and another student were ordered to remove their pants and that his private part "was exposed in ..... the presence of the students who looked on and laughed".
According to the student, they were handcuffed and taken to Central Police station o the Carenage where they were booked into custody. The students were eventually released without charge by the lawmen.
