One
of the new mobile telephone service providers in the country, Digicel
has launched two new promotions aimed at providing cash incentives to
their customers for their support of the company in the last three months.
Last Tuesday, Digicel, introduced its "Freedom Promotion" and "3 for 10" at a ceremony held at the Spice Island Beach Resort in the south of the island. Company officials also used the occasion to introduce Patricia Maher, the company's new Country Manager for Grenada. She replaces Jim Hogan who was assigned to Barbados to help in laying the ground work for the launch of Digicel's operation in that island. Head of Public Relations for Digicel in the sub-regional Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States(OECS) Jerry George said that the "Freedom Promotion" initiative will give a lucky customer the opportunity to 'live free" for a year as well as win instant cash on a weekly basis. Every Tuesday, Digicel customers can tune in to the Grenada Broadcasting Network(GBN) where they will be given a chance to win $1000.00. According to George, the only requirement is for customers to collect their Flex Cards and see if their number comes up during the draw. Whenever a customer number comes up, officials of Digicel who will be hosting the live programme, will place a call to the person's mobile phone and if the winner fails to answer the phone or the phone is answered by Voice Mail then the prize is forfeited. In addition, as part of the Freedom Promotion, Digicel customers will have to collect their flex cards and spell the word freedom to instantly win $25,000.00 in a draw scheduled to take place on May 4, 2004.
Under this promotion, the winner will have the rent due on their house
or apartment paid by the company as well as their car loan, utility
bills and student loan. George also announced a package for persons
as part of celebrations marking Grenada's 30th independence celebrations. |
