FUNNY MEN ON STAGE

The Caribbean's funniest will be on Stage on April 12th 2003 at the National Stadium.

The cast will include the following:

TONY HENDRIKS, better known as Jamaican Paleface, voted Best Jamaican Comedian in 1999, 2000, 2001. Tony Paleface Hendriks is a household name in Jamaica after five seasons of his TV show "Paleface Point of View" on CVM TV.

LUCIEN SMALL, better known as Saluche. The Vincentian comedian admits he was born to be a comedian claiming his stupidity started in school as a youngster.

In 1994 he was voted King of Caribbean Comedy at the Spectacular Forum in Trinidad. Saluche has performed in Apollo Theatre in New York, Montreal, Toronto, Washington, Boston, and Philadelphia and all over the Caribbean.

FISH & BOOTS, St. Lucian theatrical personalities, George "Fish" Alphonse and Kennedy "Boots" Samuel make up the performing duo, Fish & Boots. These two are popular for performances that are mostly funny and always socially conscious.

Together they have created, produced and performed successful works for a variety of media, including radio, television, theatre, popular theatre and performance talk.

KEN CORSBIE, for thirty years Ken has delighted audiences throughout the Caribbean and North America in schools, libraries, theatres, cafes, festivals, and church halls, outdoors. He is everywhere.

Ken will tickle your funny bone with jokes about giving directions in Barbados, the man who ran over himself in Georgetown, three West Indians trying to get in free at the Olympics, the four ways to eat mangoes and much more.

The overseas cast will also include Dominica's funniest man, FRANKLY MOSES, as well as DAVID "DARKIE" WILLIAMS from St. Vincent, appearing in the Story time Comeback performance on Sunday 13th at the Trade Centre and veteran comedian MARC FINGALL from Barbados.

GRENADA'S FUNNIEST will match their talents against these top class regional jesters. The local squad will include ROBERT WHYTE, DELEON WALTERS, BASSANIO "GRANNY" NICHOLAS, DEBORAH GILCHRIST and MARCUS CHRISTOPHER.

On Sunday 13th the Trade Centre will come alive with the brightest, young stand-up comedians and comic monologists from all over Grenada in the production entitled "DEY YOUNG AND DEY FUNNY".

This show will be combined with the STORYTIME COME BACK performance and will bring the curtains down on the SPICELAUGH 2003 COMEDY FESTIVAL.
