Her belief of being able to out-smart businesses in the town of Grenville with counterfeit notes landed her before the Grenville Magistrate Court, with a charge of possession of counterfeit. Desiree Cato of Bathway St. Patrick appeared before the Grenville Magistrate’s Court last Thursday charged with possession of counterfeit. She was granted bail to the sum of five thousand dollars with two sureties.
With tears running down her cheeks, the accused made her way to and from the Grenville Magistrate’s Court accompanied by police. It is understood that the accused first visited former W and M DeGale supermarket in Grenville to purchase some groceries when employees there realized that the notes was not genuine but counterfeit.
She left and later visited the Toy Shop. The police were quickly contacted and she was caught moments later.
