Dozens of relatives, neighbours and well-wishers extended a hand of friendship and solidarity to a dear old lady from St. George South Constituency.
Mrs. May Ethel Taylor, known by everyone as Granny, was feted on Monday, March 31st, 2008 her 104th birthday.
In attendance during the course of the afternoon were Minister of Health and NNP shadow MP for the South, Mrs. Ann David-Antoine and present MP, Hon. Glynnis Roberts.
Champagne, birthday cards with denominations of EC notes, cakes, fruits and kisses were the order of the day. Both ladies spoke glowingly about Granny’s long health and caring life as a beacon and model for youngsters near and far Included among those present were her daughter Eileen Taylor and numerous siblings; among them grands and great grands.
A good friend, Brian Marryshow, thanked all those who graced the celebration and God for His kindness to the family and Grenada.
There was also an infant choir that shared happy birthday in songs for the centenarian who is still active and sharp and reads small prints without wearing glasses.
