Leslie Michael Boney aka Free Lee was born on July 13, 1945 in BackStreet, Tempe, St. Georges, Grenada, West Indies and died on January 4, 2007 in Brooklyn, New York.
The first out of nine children of Millicent Boney and always first to give his last dollar to anyone in need. He is survived by eight of his
siblings: Errol Maitland, Irene Redhead, Yvonne Joseph, Patrick Boney, Ann Marie Boney-Horsford, Kendal Noel, Roland Boney aka Pedro, and Theresa McSween. Also his brother and sister in-law: Richard Horsford, Donna Boney, Mathias Joseph, Gordon McSween, ShirleyAnn Noel, Roderick, Emris, Alma, Lucy, Kenrick, and Cosmos Thompson also his father Dennis Chiddick, his aunts Mildred Ashby, and Alberta LaQua.
Leslie left to mourn his loving wife, Glenora Boney, nine children, and six grandchildren, Peron, Duane, and Michael Boney, Andy Scott, Nelcol , Meschdia and Nigel Philip, Lisa Edwards, and Avernielle Maloney. His nieces Michele, Rachel and Marcel Horsford and many more too numerous to mention.
Throughout his life he has developed many relationships with many different people; most notably his good friend Cuthbert Duncan and long time friend /brother George Meyers. He also left to mourn many friends and family.
The initial shock of Leslie Boney’s passing has affected a countless number of individuals here and abroad. His kind, cool, and soft spoken nature allowed for Leslie to succeed in life’s many trials and tribulations, but always he grew from every experience. Leslie Boney; dad; friend; brother; husband; and everything in between will be surely missed now and until the end of time.

Leslie Boney will be interred at the Wilberforce Cemetery in St. Georges, Grenada on Thursday 18th January, 2007.
