SEASONAL PRODUCT -
Asham (also referred to as "Brown George") is made from pounding or grinding parched or roasted corn, and mixing with brown sugar. Some people add a little white pepper or salt to taste. Traditional Asham is pounded in a Mortar/Pestle.
Michelle's Asham is available around the months of October - December and is in abundance around November when it is traditionally consumed as part of All Saints and All Souls observances.
