Cable & Wireless Recognizes Outstanding Staff
Cable & Wireless congratulates Sabrina Forde, Marketing Assistant – as Employee of the Quarter and Gail La Grenade, Manager, Retail Sales – as Leader of the Quarter. These employees were among several recognized for their contribution to the organization and also their personal development at a ceremony held on Thursday January 17 th.

Awards were presented to staff members in various categories including academic, sports, long service and exemplary on-the-job performance. 13 employees were awarded for academic achievements attained during the last quarter in their respective fields. High praise went to Janeil Alexis-Browne, Projects and Administration Analyst who attained a B.Sc. with Honours in Management studies from the University of the West Indies. Commenting on the accomplishment of staff members Chief Executive of Cable & Wireless Ian Blanchard remarked “It is heartening to see the efforts made by staff to achieve both their personal goals and those of the Company. At Cable & Wireless we see our staff as our first customer and we place significant emphasis on employee growth and development. In 2007 the company invested over $700,000 in staff training. It is therefore truly rewarding to see staff taking their personal development seriously.”
Every Quarter an employee of Cable & Wireless is recognized for his or her contribution to the company and at the end of the fiscal year one of these persons is selected as “Employee of the Year”.
