Bmobile has joined with Abstract Magazine to present young aspiring Grenadians with an opportunity to become top models.

Over the next five weeks one (1) male and one (1) female Grenadian model will be chosen to be the Faces of the Future. Eighteen (18) models 10 (ten) female and eight (8) male were selected last Saturday as the bMobile/Abstract search for the Face of the Future got underway at the Club Karma.

These 18 persons will be narrowed down to eight (8) hopefuls, through a series of challenges which will be videotaped and form part of a reality series for television. Bmobile has made it possible for viewers to vote for their favourite model through texting. The eight (8) finalists will appear in a final runway extravaganza to be held at the Karma Nightclub on May 21, 2008. At this event, one (1) male and one (1) female will be selected as the Faces of the Future. The show will feature selected designers from Grenada and Trinidad and will have special performances by the Abstract models. The winners will receive over $10,000 US in cash and prizes including a ten-page fashion editorial in Abstract magazine

Abstract Publishing is based in Trinidad and produces two upscale magazine publications titled Abstract and Abstract Home. The magazines feature articles on beauty, fashion and entertainment and claims readership of 150,000.

Commenting on the model search Marketing Communications Manager Sheldon Keens- Douglas said “Bmobile is pleased once again to be able to provide an opportunity for young Grenadians to realize their dreams, this time in the fashion industry. This type of exposure builds self-esteem and confidence in young persons and opens doors for them to showcase themselves to the wider world. Vivian Burkhardt’s amazing performance in the 2007 Miss Universe Pagaent is testimony to the positive impact that this type of international exposure can have on the country as a whole. I only wish more persons had seized the opportunity as these sort of chances are very rare.”
