Ganel, who attends Sanctuary of Praise (a member church of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies, Grenada District) in Marian St. George’s, Grenada, grew up in a Christian home in the village of Morne Jaloux. Her Christian upbringing exposed her to many gospels songs and Christian artistes, thus her advent into gospel music.

Ganel posses a wonderful, unique versatile voice which she skillfully uses to manipulate any song she sings. She is comfortable at singing alto, tenor or soprano and can easily manages Reggae, Soca, country, and several others; the renditions in this debut album confirm that.

Ganel is a school teacher by profession though her special passion is singing. She has been inspired by the likes of the late Mahalia Jackson, the late bob Marley and contemporary gospel singer Yolanda Adams. Ganel Is one of the lead singers in “Instruments of Praise” one of Grenada’s leading gospel Band.

Her Debut CD entitled Run To Finish is currently available online (Grenadamarket.com) and will be launched in Grenada within the first week of June 2005.
