Richard
Hart practices as a Solicitor in his native Jamaica from 1941
to 1963. He served on the executive of the People's National Party
of which he was a founding member in 1938 and was active in the
Trade Union movement.
After
editing a newspaper in Guyana in 1964 he came to England in 1965
and worked as a Solicitor to a local authority.
In
1982 he went to Grenada as Legal Adviser to the Revolutionary
Government, becoming a Civil Service Attorney General in 1983.
Following
the American invasion he returned to England. He is the author
of several books on Caribbean history. |
