happy with response to Eye Care Project as hundreds turnout to participate

Wednesday February 1st, 2006, St. George’s: Medical officials attached to the Canadian Vision Care Team which are presently conduction clinics on the west coast have expresses satisfaction with the high turn out of adults and students seeking attendance. Mr. Paul Mahabir, coordinator of the team personally commended Health Minister Sen. the Hon. Ann David Antoine for the Ministry’s assistance in coordinating the clinics. Mahabir who has coordinated similar projects for the last fifteen years in other Caribbean countries including Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago, said on Tuesday that a total of 195 patients including 50 students received attendance of which ninety percent of that total was given eye glasses.
The Eye Care Clinics are scheduled to continue all next week with the exception of Independence day.
